HELP! fog light oops

Hi guys, I have a 99 D1. I was installing hella ff500 driving lights and got all done with everything, tried them out and nothing... I think I heard a slight pop when we flipped the switch. NOW THE FRONT AND REAR PARKING/running LIGHTS ON THE LEFT SIDE DONT WORK??? I check the fuses, all fine, bulbs fine, is there a reason one side would work and not the other. Now I found out what we did wrong, the + and the - switched around on the new fog light switch. The problem is I was using one of the old extra front parking lights that I no longer have because I have a new bumper. I used that as the green "turn on" lead going to the foglight switch. I think I fed too much juice to it, what would that have done? How do I fix it? Is there a inline fuse somewhere for each side? could I have blown those little lighting diodes that I saw in the back? any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Colin

P.S. I just moved out from FL to NM, I am loving this truck more by the min. out here!!! It is perfect for the terrain out here.

well hers what i would do.

1. unplug the new lights.
2. pull the fuse and test the circut. see if you have power at the fuse. when u turn it on.
3. start back tracking. check anything and everything that is on the circut. it may be a main fuse under the hood... sorry bonnet. didnt mean to confuse you.
4. call the dealer if that doesnt work.
5. call the queen, im sure she will have something to say about it.

in all seriousness do the first 4. im sure the problem is a a fuse or a bad ground. nothing serious. im sure sometihng just overloaded.

got it fixed!! I found a fuse hidden under a set of jumper fuses that one of the prev. owners put on there. So all is well now. Thanks for you help everybody! I'll be posting more pix as I get time too.
