HELP icon billet upper arms dont fit!!!

Hey guys i was putting on my stage 5 kit which comes with upper control arms and noticed that when i put in the spacers into the heim joints they are too small!

I have a 2012 4runner trail and am putting the short side of the spacer inboard on both heim joints. It makes the inside dimension @ 1/2" too narrow.

Was wondering if anyone has had this issue - icon is closed and my truck is all taken apart!!!

Thanks in advance

You sure they shipped you the correct UCA?
What did the instructions show....
!/2 is quite big of difference.
Any pics?

Plus - you may have different sized spacers (just guessing now) - where the thinner would go on one side and the thicker on the other... depending on truck type.

They shipped the right kit - so says the numbers. I noticed washers in the parts but no matter what combo i used it was still off and not centered. Plus the kit says to use those for the skid plates. So I found someone with a milling machine and we knocked down the heim spacers to fit.

I am only done with one side and really torqued that is taking so long but id rather have done right. Ill post a couple of pic in a few.

I wonder if they forgot to send you the right spacers.... were they all the same size?
Plus - you do know that the UCA is side specific.

I was able to just wack down the spacers with a milling machine. There was 2 different size spacers but after no call back from Icon i decided to go this route. I was able to mount up the fronts after spending a half a day fixing those so the entire lift took 2 1/2 days.
Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I hope you didn't just void any warranty issues you might have. These usually go together fairly easily. How did it turn out?

Hahaha no they were the upper control arm spacers. And there was no way to get lets say 2" of spacer in a 1" opening i dont care how hard you push and pull.

After a shortened those spacers the kit went in great! Truck rides great.

Did ICON call back or did get in touch with them? I am happy you got the product to work for you, but I would not let the issue go.

For the price and their reputation you deserve a flawless install.

I try to make these companies accountable and beat them with every question I can think of. If they don't like it I can spend my $1000.00s somewhere else.
