Help me understand this dual battery set up

First off let me apologize for the very noob question. I have been slowly getting my trooper ready for family expedition trips and hopefully a trip to Canyon Lands in the spring. I have been looking at a way to run a dual battery system in the trooper. I think I know how to make the batteries fit so now I am trying to figure out how to wire it. I would like to stay away from fancy (expensive) battery monitor/ charging systems if I can. I found this diagram from Slee that I think will do exactly what I want.

My plan right now is 2 deep cell batteries (most likely Optima yellow tops). I would like to use the 2nd battery to run an inverter and fridge. So when we set up camp I want to isolate the 2nd battery so I don't run the primary out of juice while running the fridge for a day or two.

I also want to be able to self jumpstart with the second battery (in the event I run the primary battery down due to winching) and be able to run the winch on one, two or both batteries. So if I under stand this layout correctly I should be able to do all that. Ok this is the way I think this works (insert maybe here).

Battery #1 is still hooked up normal like from the factory.

Battery #2 is hooked to battery #1 through the marine switch.

Both batteries are charged through the 200amp solenoid anytime the truck is running.

When the truck is turned off both batteries are completely isolated from each other so you could run a fridge off the 2nd with out worry of depleting the primary.

The winch is powered through the output on the marine switch. So depending on what position the switch is in you will run the winch off #1, #2 or both batteries. But with the truck off you can leave the marine switch in the OFF position and the winch is isolated from the system.

Now a few questions:

Now with the cab switch turned on you stop the charging to the #2 battery. (why would you want do this?)

If you turn the marine switch to both it will self jump start by completing the connection to both batteries but isolate the 200amp solenoid from the system?

No matter what position the marine switch is in when the truck is running it will charge both batteries?

Should you run inline fuses at all?

The positive wire from relay #3 to the out on the marine switch wont trip the 200amp solenoid if the marine switch is in the off position?

Sorry for the long winded post and thanks in advance for helping me out!
