Help my protect my new lift pump!

Looking to get my lift pump way up into the frame rail where I can better protect it. Mine is currently about the same level as the trans/transfer case skid but I want it higher. The mount it came with has a lot more holes to work with for the mount, so I'm thinking a new larger spacer. Let's see and hear your solutions! Thanks for the help!

Here you go, there are a few. The reason I'm thinking spacer is that part if the body is the main thing getting in the way of my moving it up as far as I can. There is another 4-6" hiding up there ImageUploadedByTapatalk1394229656.795460.jpg
That is the point if contact.

Do you think it would be okay to cut out that piece of the body? Not sure if it's super important for body flex or something, it is just a little bit behind the drivers door, almost parallel to the trans/TC skid

I'd probably go with your spacer idea, perhaps in conjunction with clearancing the top ear of the lift pump mounting bracket, before making irreversible changes to the body.

I agree. You could weld up a sort of extendo "L" bracket that would move the pump out a couple of inches and then all the way up.
You are right in wanting to get that up further. Just be careful to leave a 1/2" or so of clearance at the top because if the bracket touches the body, the vibrations from the pump will resonate through the cab, driving you slowly insane!
