Help! O2 heater sensor reset

Looking to see if anyone has a work around for getting the o2 heater sensor to pass inspection?

I've gone through all the drive cycles and been told by a trusted mechanic that the sensor is OK.

Sensor is showing "not ready" which is causing it to fail the systems portion.

Jeep is an 06' unlimited, 4.0 I6

Any help or suggestions appreciated

Did you check over on jeepforum? Especially the Engine drivetrain section. A lot more traffic about this kinda thing.

I called the dealer after reading through the thread and apparently there is a lifetime warranty for the issue according to the EPA.

The 06 TJ has an issue with that particular sensor. The dealer should be able to fix you up. There is some wiring they have to alter in the underhood power distribution center I believe.

does the same thing apply to an 08 I have the same issue
