I have been reading a lot of builds on here from tear drops to m416's. I have pretty much decided on a m416 but I have not found one in my area that is not to far gone to start with. I will be pulling it behind my Samurai and camping with it. I want to build up to expeditions in the next couple years. Since I can not find one I was going to build one form scratch frame and all. I have not been able to find fram thickness or a good blueprint for one to start the design process. So I am asking for your help with frame thickness. As stated I want to do this pretty close to the original design. Tube frame are cool but weigh more and a light Zuk mean a light trailer would be best. Thanks

I used 2 x 4 x .120 square tube for the frame of my motorcycle trailer.

It was plenty - possibly even overkill. It adds up pretty quick, so you'll want to watch the weight if you're pulling it with a 'zuk.

For reference, that 2x4x.120 steel weighs about 4.69 pounds per linear foot.

The only thing is my Samurai has a Super charged 3800 in it. I think that steel would cool for a replica. I would like to make it close to a replica as I can. That is why I am trying to find out exact material thicknesses.
