Help with RTT and pics from last outing.

Just wanted to post up a few pics from my last trip out testing the go pro.(will post those later:sombrero



new awning and RTT build wanted to test these out before my trip this weekend. any sugestions on how to attach a ladder or other way of easily getting into the tent.

Any ideas y'all? About how to attach a ladder of some kind to the vehicle or tent to make getting up there easier?
I really like the ladders on the rear of Nissan xterras. Any ideas about where to get one for the trailblazer?

The ladders that you are seeing on the back of the Xterra is from Gobi. I'm not sure but you may possibly be able to fabricate one to fit the back of your rig. But check out the Gobi website for info on the ladder.

How is the tent mounted to the roof? Did you use the stock bars?

That's not actually a true roof top tent is it? It looks like a tentcot sitting on top of the truck and they aren't designed for that type of application. You may be asking for trouble...

the tent is attached to two peices of angle iron mounted on the rack. With expanded metal soon to be welded between the two, as a floor for the tent and to serve as a roof rack when the tent is not up there. i can take pics later if yall want them.

I really don't know of any way to put a ladder as it would be impractical due to the way your rear hatch opens. IMHO I believe that this- http://www.autoanything.com/truck-tents/61A3877A0A0.aspx - or something like it would be a much safer and practical application for your rig. Hope this helps man. BTW, where in the Fayetnam do you reside? I am originally from Stedman. (just outside of there)
