Help with tracks and GPS or Netbook.

Hi everyone.

I am interested in the simplest way to follow tracks on a gps or netbook while driving in my vehicle off-road. I have a couple of gpx files I would like to try this with. I am totally up for suggestions...

I currently have -

Garmin yellow eTrex. Basic of the Basic's. I could follow tracks on this I guess, but I do not care for the small gray screen while driving.

Garmin nuvi 350. I don't think tracks can be uploaded to this unit. Is there any other nuvi's that would do what I am looking for ???

A netbook with XP as the OS. I have Microsofts Streets and Trips with the GPS sensor. I dont care a lot for the program for off road use. Is there a program I can buy that will work with the sensor that came with this program?

I am guessing Delorme Topo maps or Overland Navigator running on the netbook with a GPS sensor would be my best bet ???

Thanks for any help...

You should be able to use the Garmin eTrex tethered to the notebook via USB or Serial Port (whatever the GPS uses) to run Microsoft Streets and Trips - you could also download an old copy of Garmin nRoute and use that if you have any Garmin map sets on CD or DVD - to use both programs at the same time you can use GPS Gate which shares your GPS with several applications at the same time.
