Hey Ram folk, input on high mileage 6.4L Hemi?

Hello,
I've come across a local 2014 3500 with the 6.4L gas. I've only owned Yotas and Ford trucks up to this point, so I don't really have a frame of reference. This local example looks very clean and fairly well optioned just with "high" miles; 150K. The usual "provided it has been maintained" disclaimers notwithstanding, is there any reason to steer clear of the 6.4L when it starts to get this long in the tooth? Anything in particular I should look for if I go and drive / crawl under it?

Thank you in advance.

Thank you, that’s kinda what I was hoping to hear. Took it out for about 30 minutes this afternoon. Nothing besides a bit of surface rust underneath (I’m a recovering Land Rover guy, so rust is relative). Only gig was the steering, sticky on center… and the fluid was low. Beyond that it seemed as solid as it first looked.

I don't have direct experience with them, but the main concern I have heard is related to long idle times. I don't remember the specific issue anymore, but I believe it was related to insufficient oiling in the top end at idle speeds.

I often shop used fleet vehicles because there are still some good deals to be had, but a lot of those trucks have lots of idle hours. I quit looking at Ram 6.4's that had more than 50k miles just to be safe.
