hi-lift shackles

When at Big Bend, Rodger had these D ring shackles that were bent to provide a lifting point with a hi-lift, and the standard recovery points. Any one know where to get these? Or better yet who makes them?

are you talking about the kind that's sort of twisted like a pretzel? tractor/farm suppliers usually carry them. if that's not it, then i dunno :p...

Ace Hardware sells them, they're fully rounded right? I've got one, but never considered using it for the high-lift. Huh, the things you learn...

Here are some shackles... which kind?

Here are some special shackles I have seen. Was it one of these?

The green and galvanized ones are military "NSN" shackles and the red one is called a twisted clevis.

It is like the red one. Where would you find that? Who makes them?

It is the one in this picture.

I have to say the members of expo portal have the best manners on the net! I frequent a couple other forums and this is by far the best place to ask a question. Even when a member wants to drop explatives they come up with an inventive, hilarious, and ultimatley non-degrading way of doing it.

So glad I stumbled across this corner of the net:bowdown:
