60" definitely. I've already maxed out a 48" twice!:Wow1:

But then again I use them rock crawling and many times when you need one, the only place you have to place the highlift is in a hole!!

Had to use a 6x4 and a highlift jack stand to extend it enough to raise my rig.

So would say then a 60" for a 4runner with about 2.5" of lift would work?

Anyone have the base plate thing? Is it worth buying?

I have a 60in I have not touched for about 8 years since I saw someone nearly killed by one (he was knocked out and lost an eye). Be safe and always leave the handle in the upright position and stand back from it.

the 60 is a friggin beast, i laid it across a small crevase that would have ate my rig... and put the driver side on it and just drove across, it dident even flex or anything. Was definitly worth the $50 :) :)

i think the 60 is definately a better way to go. 2 reasons: first, you will have a tougher time outgrowing it. i know i almost bought the 48 and it wouldn't have worked at my current jeep height. second, the hi-lift is used for more than just lifting. just 2 weeks ago i had to use it to winch myself out of a little jam. its nice to have that extra 12" when pulling.
