Hi guys gals im new here and wanted to say thank y'all for all the information posted here. It has given me so many ideas for my build, which I intend on chronicling in this thread.

I have a 99 k2500 suburban

I picked it up in trade for a rifle and and 1k usd. My intended use is beach outings trips to the river, off highway use on south Texas and tow rig for the mud truck/rock crawler.
A few things I have "planned" are
1: a huge awning that will cover a group of 6-9 people
2: RTT of some sort
3: water storage for shower/dishes
4:camp kitchen setup built in.
Thanks for reading and I would like to hear any ideas for or against my endeavors.
John

First off, welcome to the site 90DropTop. Looks like you have a very capable rig there and I will also look forward to seeing you build your rig. I am sure you will find many helpfull people here at Expo that can give you all kinds of tips... Cheers, Chilli.:)

Thanks guys, I have spent the past few weeks reading through the storage solutions, kitchen area, camping equipment reviews, and build threads. I must say some of the craftsmanship is outstanding and extremely innovative.
I am gonna start the awning build this Sunday. So some build pictures to come.

the awning got pushed back due to a leaking injectors and blow outs on the rear axle, had to buy a new set of tires and have the fuel injectors, presure regulator replaced. I bought a camp chef 2 burner stove for my kitchen kit, salvaged some slides from a old desk in the garage, gonna buy a arb fridge just not sure what size i want,(any suggestons i have a 25% off coupon towards any arb single purchace).

I did not realize I had not updated this in a while,

I have since last post installed a 3" body lift, to clear my 33" tires, the body lift also increased the space available under the body to mount a water storage tank, air tank, train horns. I bit the bullet on an 82quart ARB fridge freezer, bought a used roof top tent from a buddy of mine, yet I still have not gotten to my awning.

I have also acquired a new to me welder since mine was stolen s hopefully in the next few weeks i can build a roof rack or the roof top tent, my LED light bar, and fog lamps.
