HID's and LED's, oh my!

Getting most of my materials together, still waiting on one more package to arrive. Side-emitting LED strips from Oznium, more strips from V-LEDS, and dug out my Vision-X pods. As you will see a few of the following pics, the last three LED's are not firing up on their own, I have to press on them very hard to get a connection. Will be contacting Oznium about getting these replaced.

Started on the headlights tonight. I know, I know... ricer mod, Audi rip-off mod, whatever. I like it!

Thought I would post up here just some after shots, so everyone doesn't have to read through all those dozens of pics in my how-to.

This is the 5000k bi-xenon HID kit from www.v-leds.com. I am quite happy w/ the color and ease of install. Still need to work out why I do not have high beams, though.

I like what you've got going. I purchased LED dome light kit by PUTCO tonight. I haven't installed it yet. Great job with your lights. People will see you coming.

on the contrary, they'll be blinded so they can't see you. i'm not a fan of HID bulbs in halogen housings

From a friend of mine over on TheNewX.org:

There's been lots of discussion on reflector HIDs before and the consensus is that it's just fine when used on 'free form' reflector type headlights such as those on the X. Glare and scatter was an issue that came about on the older glass diffraction type lenses with stipples on the lens. Not only is there a marked improvement in visbility, there's also no increase in scatter - certainly not more than 'high output' halogen bulbs.
