aside from the terrible pics, it looks like it has the diff lock button if you squint real hard.

should i pass on even considering this truck with the mileage it has. If I could pick it up for $1200-1500, that might take the sting out of a new/used motor. or just wait till a better specimen shows up for $3000?

thanks

I'd spend maybe 1k on it if nothing else was wrong with it besides having 240,000 miles. It still has some life in it, depending on how well it has been taken care of through the years.

just spoke with the owner. it does have the diff lock switch. when asked if it smokes, she said it did once after sitting for a few weeks. after driving it for a bit it cleared up. i may go look at this weekend. she bought it brand new in texas, been here all its life.

Depends on the market. Those are pretty rare here and 2k is cheap for a beater suv.

Go look at it and you decide, I bought a 99 with 130 k miles for $2500 that had some issues but had the winter package with the rear locker. Don't get too carried away with the low ball on the asking price, honestly a gen 1-3 in houston go on sale every now and then and if you snooze you lose. Just because someone here paid $1200 or less somewhere else does not mean that is the price you should pay. Think if you were selling it would you sell it for that cheap?

I would buy it, for less would be better but price is still good. #1 reason - minimal rust (correct?) and #2 - lady driving?(how bad was it). considering how hard is to find those lately, i think it's a good deal
