What are the pros and cons of a extender?
I was thinking of using one on a single axle trailer that I will be towing back home to Juneau with no more than 2000 pounds in the trailer. The extender would be about 12 inches.
From what I read I should be thinking of replacing my OME receiver and buying a Super or std. Torklift receiver. If that is the case I think I'll be throwing more gear in the container and just towing the trailer and gun safe by itself with the extender then the weight will be under 1200 pounds in the trailer.
Anyway what are your thoughts on extenders. Oh, I have a 3/4 ton Dodge Cummins 4x4 if that makes any difference in the receiver that was installed at the factory.
