Just picked up these for me and a couple buddies. They are being sold for about a grand. These are 1999s from Silver Eagle and sell for ten thousand for a new one. All alluminum, rated for 3/4 ton.

They are big and heavy and have been discussed numerous times, kind of defeats the purpose of an off-road trailer....

If I had something big enough they would be great. I like the looks but at 1460 lbs empty and a track width of 72", they would swallow up my little CJ. Great find if you have the right tow vehicle. Wide on the trail though it may be good in the desert.

What are your plans and what are you towing it with?

I've got a 2012 Tundra an would love to convert one of these as a camper with RTT. I'm jealous!

I like them, for $1000.00 that was a good deal. I have seen them at $2000.00 + local.
Big area in the bed,

You could shed some weight by changing wheels and tires and changing the surge brakes to
electric and ditching the surge set up.

Your 1102 got me thinking about one.

The three of us bought 4 of them (auction fever). I know of one for 900 on the east coast if anyone is interested. These are in WA. I have had a Silver Eagle flat bed. Best ever trailer but I saw yours and started looking for one.

Aluminum wheels for a aluminum trailer. These are mounted to my flat deck. I have used miltiary m1102s and they pull easy and are very light. This deck trailer hauls toys out to the dunes. Fully loaded I tow deep into the dunes, no problem.

I am waiting for the End User Cert clear from the army. The black trailer is orginal that I have had 10 years. The plan was to have a company to build a tub and lid. That did not work out. And, from this forum I learned how to bid and buy a military trailer.

I am told it takes a couple month to get the trailers. First I will clean/paint. Then I am planning a kitchen to start. I will take photos of the build. Thanks to all for the ideas I am getting from the forum.

Not that wide, most expedition trialers made here in the states are 70 inches, that would include the AT Horizon. My base camp is 80 inches and have not had a problem so far. Sure I am going to run into one sometime, but if the truck can get through you should be able to get the trailer through.

Great find, and they are truly great trailers. Does it have the torsion axle or is it still the springs. Most likley has the springs that is the reason they are getting rid of them. Either way great find. Have fun man.
