HMMWV trailer value

I don't see many of them come up in my random CL searches, but when I do they are usually higher than $950. By at least a few hundred. For the M1101 anyhow. Now, those are usually guys reselling. You may be able to find a better price at one of the auctions, but then you are dealing with all of that.

I would probably buy one at that price if I didn't already have a trailer.

Here are trailers that are closing this week: http://www.govliquidation.com/aucti...uery=TQCaLa2ik2CALGpW2NuQefCA3QmD2sjxu-5.LTw2

I am always waiting for them to come up in my area for a good price. They normally get sold at a post farther away than I'm willing to drive

It's not an m101a3 or m1101, it looks like the DRASH trailers. It's meant to be towed with a HMMWV. The surge brake system is similar to the m101a2/m101a3/m416a1; it uses similar parts but the housing will not interchange.

I am trying to figure out forms, so I may not be posting this correctly, I am trying to splice a 7pin onto my 2010 M1101. I cut off the 12pin changed out the bulbs in rear to 12v and I have the turn signals and brake lights working but I cannot get the marker lights to come on? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I found great wiring info on M1101s here:
www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?31824-Civy-truck-to-MIL-trailer-wiring-info

It's easy to make you own cable to replace the military connector that plugs into the trailer's wiring harness under the trailer and I think instructions are provided further on in the referenced thread at Steel Soldiers.

Thanks for the info. This will definitely be useful down the road. I'm still waiting for this guy to drop the price.

They're big mothers and can't easily be converted to a functional wheel/tire combo either.

If you don't mind the trailer's size and weight you can always do an axle swap. This allows you to pick your bolt patten and replace the surge brakes with electric ones if desired.

$950 seems like a decent deal but you could always go take a look at it and see if the seller will accept a lower offer. Personally I would rather pay a little more for one that's already titled.

It's fine to pull a trailer that is a bit wider than the tow vehicle. Most cargo trailers or vehicle trailers, even small ones, have wheel wells on the outside for more inside cargo space, and they don't require Dulles to pull them. Just my opinion.

I think most people would agree that the trailer should not have a wider stance then the tow vehicle. This would appear to be something towed behind a Hummer.
