Honda Transalp

I just picked up a '89 Honda Transalp in Phx. Low mileage in great shape.

Now I'll have to decide on what to take when planning trips the bike or the FJ Cruiser.
Already have aluminum bags (boxes) ordered, mounting rack & front engine guard.

Only plans are to add some side bags, XM radio & GPS & to ride it.

Looks good with the pelican case on the back. I've been looking for one about that size for my KLR.

Its a 1520. I had to grind down a small rib on the bottom to fit the rear deck perfectly. Used the rear deck as a template & drilled the six holes to match the deck & bolted it down using factory threaded holes in the rack.

A friend called be to tell me he found the perfect dual sport for me.
A '89 Honda Transalp in Co Springs.
I thought crap an '89 that things old.
I started looking in to the Transalp, called some other friends that use to ride for Honda, my brother who's into older bikes and everyone said "get it" its the Land Cruiser of Dual Sports.
I did a Craigs list search for the southwest & found a guy in Phx w/ two for sale. As clean and as low as the mileage is on the one I bought he also had a '90 Transalp w/ only 5600 miles on it & it was so clean it looked like it was still in the show room. Both were well kept.
Since I bought mine another friend showed me one on has in his shop/storage building thats pretty nice too.
