I spent the weekend with family and friends up in South Park Colorado. Nothing extreme but it was a good time. With my wifes hectic schedule it was the only time she was able to make it out with us all year so I really enjoyed it. Anyway, we set up camp at Horseshoe Campground. Saturday morning was spent fishing for brookies and in the afternoon the wife and I drove up to the Peerless Mine, about 12,900 feet. Sunday morning we drove to the end of the road to the trail head for Mt. Sherman, 14,036 ft. We hiked up to the Hill Top Mine, about 13,000 ft. Since I had a few too many drinks the night before I decided to stop at this point and hang out with the wife and kids. We had one ambitous person that decided to hike the additional hour to the summit. We just relaxed and watched him the whole way. It was pretty neat to be able to see him go up. Maybe next year I'll do it. Well I can't seem to figure out how to post photos on this thread so I'll post a link to my site and you can view the pics.
