Hot water heat exchanger

I've got this kit, with the heat exchanger mounted on my 00 4Runner.

I would like to get another heat exchanger for my wife's 04 4runner but R&M no longer makes this kit. Does anyone have a recomendation for a different heat exchanger? The rest of the kit is portable so it's easily swapable between vehicles, just need another way to actually heat up the water! Thanks for any input.

As pointed out there are lots of generic heat exchangers out there you could build from. I've toyed with the idea for a while now but never actually done it.

My question for you is how hot does it actually get the shower water? I wondered if a single pass exhanger would bring cold water up to a reasonable temp. It also looks like you have no way to regulate temp with a system like this as there's no mixer, correct? Nice and simple depending on how well it works.

Yes and no.... I actually made a video of our system, how it was set up, and how we used it.... This may answer some of your questions.

I looked at your video. There are more sublime ways to get the same effect. Having to move that large water pump (and plywood) and having the hood up all the time must be tiring. Check out what other on this forum have done. Here are two links but there are many more on here..
