Hot weather experience with fiberglass egg trailers

Hoping people here have experience camping in hot weather (80°f + 25°c +) in fiberglass egg style campers. Like a 17' Casita, Scamp, or especially Escape.

Right now my wife and air have a crappy pop up camper. I've had enough of stapled together OSB and caulking, but at the very least these things are nice in hot weather. You can unzip all the windows and get great ventilation.

We are considering an Escape 17a, or 19. But our biggest concern is how hot do these things get?

We usually dry camp, and have no interest in a generator, so don't want to be dependent on AC to stay comfortable.

They are hot and stuffy... Unless you have an exhaust fan... Then they are just hot...lol

What we figured.
We would be going dual battery and solar so running the max fan with windows open is an option, but limits power left for other things.

It's a shame everyone seems to have tear drops or RTTs on box trailers, or giant earth roamer style stuff with every option and nothing in between.

All the people on the Escape forum are rich retiree's who have plug ins and generators. Not really the crowd with the experience I'm looking for.

I'll try the "let's go back to tenting" angle with my wife again. Can't afford anything built half decent that's larger than 5x8. Don't know how everyone is doing it and can still take time off work to use the stuff

If you could keep the sun off it, and have decent ventilation at the same time it should be about as good as anything without A/C -

I'm thinking if you mounted hard solar panels with a bit of standoff from the roof they would provide some shade, and perhaps you could come up with a custom mounting / attachment system for one or two of those silver tarps once you're parked to keep the trailer cool and dark.

Humidity levels matter a bunch too obviously. In high humid I'd just need constant airflow or A/C. In low, I have gotten by in heat 'emergencies' by keeping clothing damp or misting myself with a handy spray bottle. Or...swamp cooler of some kind
