Anyone changed a heb on an 03 Disco, I have the hub just need to know what size the bolts are that hold the hub on, and does the stake nut need to be removed? and if it does what size is it?

Or is it just unbolt it from the knucle and replace it.

stake nut needs to be removed. it's torqued to something like 250 ft-lbs, so be prepared for it to suck. i tried to replace mine and just gave up. we broke every wrench we had when our airtools were powerful enough. sucked...

I think its like 325, I figure I got skills at making thing harder than they are, giving myself 2 days and if I can't get it I'll just put it back together and drive it some more. Its went a year a little longer won't hurt.

You can pick up a 3/4" breaker bar and socket at Nothern Tool in Snellville or Marietta. They may have 1" drive as well, but 3/4 should be fine.

Some refer to this stake nut as the "Jesus" nut, for reasons which will become abundantly clear to anyone doing this job them selves.:)
