I think this is a great build. Toyota is know for its off road ability and reliable at the same time. Hummer H1 is an alsome vehicle. Just cost to much.

Ha! You can't even get a Mega Cruiser if you live in Japan, let alone in North America.

they are pretty interesting vehicles, I've read about them for years on another forum. A summary of what I've read: AM-General and Mitsubishi were working on a humvee platform for the Japanese defense forces in the early to mid 90's -- something happened and Mitsubishi sold the line to Toyota (as usual the vehicle was never intended for civi use).

The a-arms are a bit smaller and the ground clearance and cargo capacity is lower than the humvee but it has 4 wheel steering (very cool!) and a 4 cyl diesel. The roof is higher for more interior space. I wouldn't think there are too many around?
