Humvee Grounding Harness

I had an issues with my Military M998 Humvee not starting properly. The wait light would flash intermittently and then it would be sluggish at best turning over the motor with fully charged batteries. I came to the conclusion that it was a grounding issue as I made a grounding harness and it seems to have fixed the problem. I do have a question about the wire I used. I used 10 gauge wire (because that is what I had available). Is the 10 gauge sufficient or should I be using more like 6 or 4 gauge. As I said it seemed to fix the problem, but I want to make sure the wire is not to small. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Here is a video of the grounding harness.

The wire looks much bigger than a 10 awg. When in doubt go bigger (for the most part). Is it grounding the whole harness system?

10 awg is good for serious power over short spans. It'll carry 200 amps 3 feet, 150 amps 5 feet, or 100 amps 7 feet. Bigger is always better, but even at a 4:1 safety ratio you're solid for starting duty on a 12v system
