The Nuda is a sport bike with an injection of Husqvarna's dirt bike DNA. While the Nuda is not an adventure travel bike, it's the first of a line of motorcycles that could eventually offer a machine for ExPo use.

Husqvarna is now owned by BMW, and the Nuda uses a 900 cc version of the motor found in the BMW F800 GS. The engine is reported to produce 100 hp. Dry weight is about 385 lbs.

i like that its very stripped down and minimal, but moto design is really going downhill.

I'd take a carburetted TE610 on an "expedition" before I'd take anything that looks like the Nuda. Can it be done? Yes (case in point, the guy who rode RTW on the sportbike) but would it be as effective/efficient as it could be? Doubtful.

This is like the difference in taking a beach cruiser / road racing / DH bicycle on a RTW tour....can it be done? Yes. But would a bike designed for that application (such as a touring bicycle) be a better tool for the task at hand? Yes.

Of course, this is all my subjective opinion. If you have signficant resources and near-factory support, the Nuda would be a fine bike for a paved road tour. However, given the re-invention of Husqvarna that Scot Harden is spearheading, I 'd hold off for a few years until there's better distribution of parts for the Nuda to be an "expedition" bike.

Could not agree more. I somewhat feel the same about auto design these days too.

I love bikes from the 60's-early 90's (some models) before all of the weird angular stuff started happening.

Holy cow that thing is wicked!!!! It's not real is it? (seems to be a blogger that draws concepts every month, but someone on TT seems to think it's legit). Man, nice bike.

It amazes me how they (current bike oems) can continually pack so much tasty performance into a package SO ugly!

Love the retro version, but the Nuda is nada in the looks department to me.

Love Husqvarna, but Ducati and Aprilia look so much better IMHO

Is this a photo chop? Either way I like it way better than the bike in the OP's link. This thing looks awesome!

Yes photochopped...thread in ADV Rider

While I do like the retro look...probably handle like poo, since you can't slide up on the tank like a bike with modern ergonomics to get it to turn.

Don't know if you're familiar with Roland Sands...pretty much customizes anything with 2 wheels.

Here is a KTM 525, done like a 60's cafe racer.
