Hydraulic clutch in the winter.

Thanks Harold, I'm gonna be trying to change out the fluid pretty quick here, with regular DOT 3 fluid.

It dosen't seem like anybody anywhere has ever had this problem, so I'm beginning to think that it's bad fluid from the factory or something along those lines, since it was an occuring problem the first winter I had the truck...and I bought the truck in january of that winter.

Thanks for all the pointers guys.

I don’t think it is just Toyota. My 2001 Silverado with a ZF S6-650 manual had the clutch totally freeze up one morning in Steamboat Springs when the truck was brand new with less than couple thousand miles. I had to press the clutch switch under the dash by hand in order to start the truck to warm up enough to get the pedal to start moving again. It took an hour of idling before the pedal would move.

The dealer rebled it with fresh Dot 4 (GM spec) when I got home and never had a problem again, but where I live it doesn’t get that cold and never had a problem since.
