I blame you trailer build.

Its all your fault. And Ive told my wife you made me do it :)
I never considered a trailer until I saw all the awesome home built things on here. But now I don`t think my life is complete until I get one :)

Just won a 3.5 ton vauxhall movano axle on ebay (same as Dodge promaster). Its the only beam axle I could find with 5 x130 pcd and m14 wheel bolts like my sprinter. Center spigot is totally wrong for my wheels (too big) but Ive found some spacers that should work to make a step down adapter. http://www.superforma.co.uk/wheel-s...n-wheel-spacer-pair-cb-84-1-m14x1-5-bolt.html. Unless anyone thinks spigots are not necessary on a trailer for wheel alignment? In which case I`ll just machine it off and leave the bolts to sort the centering out.

Nothing much to show unless you get excited about axles

Now Ive just got to decide weather to use the original van leaf springs which could be too stiff. Planned weight is under 750kg loaded as then I don`t need brakes. Or chop the axle and make it independent as coils are much cheaper than new leaf springs. Should be delivered Friday so off for more picture trawling.

Pretty good at some stuff

Well, yes, but that's not taking into account that if you switched to a coil, you'd need to add a control arm, whereas even a new leaf does not.

And you may not legally require brakes on a rig under 750kg, but you'll be far happier if you have them. You can activate the existing brakes on the axle with an electric over hydraulic adaptor like this one (https://www.etrailer.com/p-K71-650.html)

Just my 2¢.
