I do believe I found my next awning

Been watching a slew of the Eezi Awn 270º Bat awnings.
Have an email into Paul at Equip to see if these awnings attach the same way my Campinglabs one does with the two channels on the rear of it.
I would have to take off my 4' Firestik antenna each time it is deployed, but that is easy thanks to the quick disconnect on it.

You'll like it. I have the manta from equipt1, and it's super nice in the Arizona sun. The bat is a little easier to set up and take down.

Thanks.
Is the back side of yours like in my picture above?
I hope so, then it will mount to my rack easily.

Change of plans.
I showed Paul at Equipt1 my BajaRack awning mounting brackets, and he thinks with the 50 lbs of the Bat awning it will bend them down horizontally which would not be a good thing.

I still want to replace my awning, and I will be inquiring what the mounting track looks like on the rear of the 2000 series 2 meter Eezi Awning awning.
I have a feeling it is like my Campinglab one, and it would mate to my current brackets.

I am not sure.
The BajaRack ones I have now were made to fit with the BajaRack.
There are three of them, but Paul was concerned with them bending down.
It is a HUGE hassle too to remove the current ones as you have to loosen the tent mounts and jack the tent up off of the roof.
I had to do that after my dealer installed my new rack back in 2010 as one of the awning mounts they put on was not adjusted right.

yea those would bend easy. maybe if you put two on one on top and one on bottom it would help, but just looking at them I can see them bending quickly

I really like that batwing awning. I liked the Alu-cab one, but having the inter grated legs in case needed is extra peace of mind.

I saw another video of the Alu-cab awning where it showed one leg and some additional tie down straps. Is there a big price difference between the two?

Just adding my 2cents here... I bought the Alu-cab awning and it will be great once its on. really make sure that it can be mounted to your roof rack first. That sucker is heavy and I'm having to have custom brackets made because I didnt check compatibility with my roof rack.

AluCab Shadow awning has an integrated leg but the awning is self-supporting.

During my testing period I never needed to use the leg- even during heavy rain and pretty windy conditions. But its there if you get severe conditions.

I have the Shadow awn and a few Kelty expanding poles. Drilled some holes in the 2 arms that didn't have the built in leg and viola! 3 legs if needed and when secured it is sturdy! Although I've never ever needed to use one leg really.
