I "Rhino Lined" my fenders

Okay, so I debated back and forth on whether or not I would do it, but in the end I did it. I admit I was scared...messing up, decreasing resale value, yada yada yada, but now it's done!
The main reason I did it, was because of all the brush scratches(that don't buff out). I had already done the lower panels some time ago and I've been happy with the brush protection they've offered.
Yes, I could've got some after market fender flares, but this only cost $25 and it won't get torn off.
In the end I am pleased with the results. It was simple to do and didn't take too long. Attached are 2 pics, a before and after shot.

That looks awesome!!!
Mine 05 was done when I bought it by the previous owner, from the rear of the front fender/wheelwell, all the way to the back bumper, colour matched white with the truck. I wish he had gone all the way to the front like you did. It looks awesome and is tough as hell!

Side questions, what did use to paint your wheels? get them dipped then re-powdered? and your grill too?
and also who makes that rear rack mounting setup? does Yakima make the whole thing?

That Color matching the rhino liner is a good idea.
To answer your questions, the wheels were a simple sandblast and powder coat matte black affair.
The grill was just sanded and then I put a couple coats of flat black Dupli-color sandable primer(it's an aerosol). That stuff sprays very smooth.
And the rack is just something that I made. It cost roughly $75 for materials, and then powder coating. It's very simple design, it doesn't weigh much, and I can throw a soft top over it to cover the bed, and the basket just bolts right on top. Here's a shot without the basket on.

What rack is that? Whats the max payload of it? Ive been looking to build or buy something like that to mount a rooftent on top of for camping.

Btw, the truck looks stellar with that rhino lining! I may follow your lead on my '03. I think I'll take off my flares and dip them though.

Props!

Welcome to the Club of Cool! As you and I know, all real men cover their flares.
Great looking truck!

Thanks man,
I couldn't say for sure what the max payload is, but it's pretty beefy. If there is a week link on the rack itself, it would be the two cross bars that connect the upright tubes, and that' s mainly due to the thickness of the material. The most weight I've had in the basket has been around 300lbs but there was no concern at all at that weight. I wouldn't be afraid to put a roof top tent on mine.
