Heck, if you'd care for the Rover 1/2 as well as you do your 'Runner it would be a priviledge to leave it with you.;)

The '69. That color/config has always been my favorite.

I'm probably an anomaly, but if I could only pick one 4X4 it would be the Land Rover I already own and drive. I don't think there is anther expedition vehicle out there that I would prefer more than I do my own.

However if someone were to offer a price I could not refuse or if she got wrecked I would build a rig that I think would meet my needs better since I don't think I would ever find one already built.

Start out with a Land Rover 101 rolling chassis, extend the wheelbase to about 120 inches and power it with a Cumins BT6. The body from the doors forward would be a widened Series IIB forward control body. Behind the cab would be a custom pop up camper body The roof would be the same height as the cab while driving and in camp mode the top would lift horizontally to an interior height of 6 foot 5. I think I could do some real interesting things if I had that much interior space to work with. The rear interior would be about 10 feet by 6 feet.

But, I'm too content with what I have to consider even gathering parts for another expedition camper.

Spoken like a true Dormy owner. Honesty I'd be hard pressed to want anything else if I owned one so I can see where you're coming from. HELL I'd be happy with a VW Transporter Dormobile.
