If there was such a thing as a sexy 4×4 the RG32 would be the sexiest 10

way to heavy - 7300 kg (unless you need the armor plating...)

Looks like portal axles though. nice.

Cool lookin yes. But that said I couldn't watch any more after the dramatic 3" deep puddle crossing. Whew.
.
Actually I think it is funny to watch the heavy girls (mine included) putts here way over moderate terrain that I can fly over on my moto. Just looks silly. Kind of reminds me of watching an overweight person in the wrong shoes walking on a dry river bed. Haha

:iagree: Yeah, that looks uncomfortable. The thing doesn't even articulate at all...there were at least three occasions when the front wheel came off the ground where any Wrangler (old or new) would have no problem staying planted.

I'm sure it could go anywhere through the use of brute force and determination though. I prefer a little finesse in a smaller package. And my back hurts just looking at those seats. :smiley_drive:

I thought I saw a serious lack of axle front to rear articulation, with all the way the body shook in the yaw axis. Confirmed at 2:13 when on a fairly minor cross bump (front right and rear left tires going over small rises, and seeing the front left tire come off the ground a good 3-4 inches)

I wonder why there is so little articulation... perhaps having to tie everything together so rigidly to carry the heavy frame loads?

RG32 looks so perfect to me because it seems that every curve angle has a purpose. Nothing is for show or over sized. It is armored and its purpose is to carry people and equipment from point a to point b without getting killed.
When I look at it I see a “style” of how I would design an overland vehicle. I would start with a FZJ80 frame and an E Rod engine from GM. Then I would design a roll bar skeleton to get the exact shapes of the RG32. There would be a steel floor and the rest of the skin would be all aluminum. I would design it to be serviced with tools that would fit in a very small tool box.
