The 99 is a 3.0, even though the description says 3.5. I'd do with the low miles 98, assuming no rust issues. Also, FWIW, I got my 00 Endeavor package (HL washers, heated seats, Infinity) a year ago with 84k miles for $6100. It of course has no locker though. Was a two owner, one family ride.

1998 looks/sounds good/closer to me, however price is just to high, how do you know if 38K is real millege?

I would call the dealer. Talk to whoever is the online/internet sales rep. and start the negotiation. Looks like the carfax shows an accident. Use that along with the fact it is 15 years old and from the photos there are problems (missing hub cover, dash lights out on 4x4, etc.) to negotiate to the price you can afford/feel is fair.

Is this one close? Take a belt with you and get a deal!

Good luck!

well , I called talked to sale, and ask for pics from under carage, some one else called gave them same info, for some reason I am not getting any pics from under the truck, not sure what is the deal with that one.

Little voice inside is saying 'run away... fast!'

It has been my experience that car salesmen will spend as little energy on an individual customer as possible. They work on slim margins, play percentages, and know that the odds of a long-distance sale coming through are minimal. I've often been frustrated by their lack of responsiveness, but understand that they're happy to sit on a car for long periods of time because, sooner or later, some idiot will walk in and pay the asking price without asking any questions.

It doesn't mean it's a bad vehicle. I've had very good luck reaching out to folks who are local to a truck that I'm interested in. If I were close to that place, I'd go look at it for you.
