It seems like I have been considering a full frame camera forever...
The D800 (thread) I had been waiting a year for was finally announced for $3,000 which is a great price for all of its capabilities, and I was on the bandwagon. Then I stepped back as the huge file sizes (resulting from the 36mp) made me ask, "do I need all that resolution?" I would have to upgrade computer, hard drives, memory cards and so on.
So then I began to look back at the D700 as used prices were hovering around $2k.
Now Nikon Rumors has reported that in March, the new D700 price will be $2,200 or 36% less than the D800 and I predict the used D700 market will be $1500-1700 very shortly.
So photo nerds, does this news have any affect on you? What will you be buying or not buying? :bigbossHL:
