Installing a RV style vent fan on a truck cap?

I have been lurking for awhile and decided to ask this. I have a f 150 with a leer truck cap and was wondering of there was a physical or structural reason why a fan-tastic fan style vent fan Designed for a RV could not be used. I was thinking it would be as easy as cutting the hole in the roof of the cap and going from there. Or am I wrong? Thanks for any help/suggestions

I suspect you'll find that the cap roof is thinner than the RV roofs that these are designed to fit. Dunno if they sell adapters/spacers, but it shouldn't be too hard to make one. The biggest issue may be having it protrude so far down into your living space unless you put the spacer outside; that may not be practical or pretty. Names to google are Fantastic Fan (great customer service) and MaxxFan (better design, more $, can be open 24/7 regardless of weather).

Was gonna use the fantastic fan, my main concern is if there is any metal In the cap and if it will weaken the cap a lot
