Mercedes Benz Unimog 416 1980 with camper eBay link

Buy it now, $26K USD OBO.

Once again, I can't figure out how to copy images over from eBay (using Firefox). Sorry.

1980 Mercedes Benz Unimog 8 speed model 416 in very good condition. Legs were removed..one in the rear by a tree while passing it, side patched. All systems just checked by certified mechanic, original 54,000 kilometers, new tires, new winch, high intensity fog lamps, mercedes 6 cylinder OM 352 engine diesel . Camper "pop- up" is 9 years old, never been slept in, bathroom never used..rarely occupied , also in very good condition . More photos available to serious bidders..ask.

No connection, yadda yadda.

Any idea what he means by
Legs were removed.
?

Maybe it used to have camper jacks?

Cool ride.

I have searched the web, and found no other mention of it anywhere, which I find a little odd. (In my estimation, something that unique should have popped up somewhere else, but the internet has seemingly never heard of it . . . or have you found other evidence elsewhere?)

I am not a serious offerer, so I have not asked the seller for more info/pix as mentioned in the text of the ad.

EDIT: And about the photo thing, I know haven knows how to do a "screen grab" that makes eBay pix portable, but I don't know how to do it either. Perhaps he'll chime in and show us his secret.

Well it looks like a nice enough mog.

Personally I think that the buy it now price is a BIT strong. I think that the truck would come in around 15K maybe more if it is in oustanding condition in ever respect. I have seen 416 Doka's for less than the asking price of this thing. Now a nine year old pop up which he claims has never been slept in is just not worth another 14K in my book.

I would say go overto benzworld and ask those guys what they think it is worth. "Trucktor" will be a great source of info, he has photos of darn near every mog of mention in the USA and Canada, so if he has never heard of this thing then I would be weary.

Get them to chime in on the value of this thing.

Good luck!

That is my take as well-it had legs to support the camper and allow you to store it off the rig.
