Drool x2.
FYI, seller has been quick to get back to me with good info. Doesn't seem like a slacker seller.

Taking a brief break from Q1 travel and wow, look at that.

Recently I have seen a few F450 4X4 mounted prison work crew trucks ( only from the outside only ) which look quite similar to this rig and I was wondering if anyone has done an expo rig conversion on any of these vehicles ( probably a bit less of a modification than an ambulance). Any idea on what this truck was previously used for?

This seems clean and a great base, but I am looking for a 4X4. Is it a reasonable proposition to convert something like this to AWD or is it better to simply wait until the right vehicle comes along? Any idea what that would run? Again, looks like a great deal.

Hey Desert Magazine Thanks a ton for posting this here. I am the one that has this truck for sale. It was used to haul fire fighters around I cant imagine putting in air ride seats for prisoners.

Firefighters vs prisoners - makes complete sense bytortruck -makes complete sense -

Still curious about adding 4x4 on this awesome base

Thanks everyone, just hope we don't joke on this mouthful ;-)

Doubtful it will get 4wd, but very likely winch and rear locker, super singles??...

I'll try, though not my strong suit. I am just finishing up my new '13 F-150 and several guys have asked for that build as well- shoot, I don't even do build threads on the website for Defender builds as it is time consuming, and we are busy, building…

I am very optimistic about this truck as long term rig for family adventures- the build will be difficult to maximize interior room and make it somewhat of a chameleon- lots of room for travel or sitting on rain days, and well thought out sleeping arrangement for 4, as well as the option to cook inside, but that will mostly be an outside function.

Then there is power, and rework the HVAC- likely duct same, etc, etc...
