Ipod nano mounting options

Thought some of you experts might have a few solutions to help me with. I am trying to find a suitable mounting platform for my wife's Ipod Nano w/ wireless car adapter. She has a Nissan Altima 3.5, and does not like the cupholder styles or window mounts. Some of the styles I have looked at seem to cradle the bottom of the unit, which is the problem, for the car adapter is actually wider than the unit itself.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Erin

Hi Erin -

The best mounts for those are the TuneBase - the Nano sits in a cradle on a long flex-arm; the arm ends in a plug for your cig lighter or dc outlet. Very secure, and can be easily moved around. The trick for you is that as far as I know all the TuneBase units already have an FM transmitter, which it sounds like you already have.

Check out www.MacMall.com

That's the catalog I just saw them in.

You could always sell the tuner you have on ebay - they go quickly and for nearly retail.

I bought an adapter for the back of my stereo, ran the connection wire into my glove box. Throw the ipod in there and use the stereo to control it.

By far the best way as you don't have an extra bunch of stuff laying around to get in your way.

My $.02.

Thanks for the help, as I thought, we will probaly have to get rid of the radio-thingambob and get a dual purpose unit. it seems to be limiting my options severely due to the way it fits the Nano.
