Node #3735, WB6JAA, Grand Canyon, AZ. USA Freq 146.7800 PL 91.5

That's about 40 miles north - I've got great access to it from most of the surrounding area.

If anyone wants to try it, let me know a date and time, and we'll see what happens!

You should link 3735 to the Western Reflector (9250) sometime. One of the local IRLP stations (3350 at 145.340, CTCSS 103.5) is often linked at rush hour. You get some really interesting ragchews, often from Yurp in the morning when I typically listen in.

Yes! I'd love to try linking from Los Angeles.
I'll play around with finding a node here I can use, then we can test it out!

OK, finally have used the William's node to link with. I connected to a Phoenix node, #3820, with no trouble, so I know the system works!

So, here's the sequence that worked:

Announce your call sign and say:

"This is {your call sign here} controlling" and while still transmitting type in the node #. Release the transmit key and listen for the node to come on line. Once the node is active, make your contact call and see if anyone answers.

Once your done with your conversation, announce "Closing Node", and while still transmitting type in "73". Release the transmit key and listen for the node to close.
