Isuzu Trooper winch mounting

Im considering purchasing a 98 Trooper 4x4. It is stock with a/t tires. My question is if i buy it i would like to mount my winch. It is an 8k winch, is that big enough for Trooper? It was fine on my XJ. How have yall mounted your winches? Obviously a winch bumper. Looking for something that is more tucked and semi factory.

Is there anything i should look at specifically before buying? It has 170k on it. New timing belt, fluids and brakes. New cooper a/t tires. It will be my daily driver and family camping truck. Maybe once or twice a year head to the offroad park.

Thanks for the info.

The most obvious answer is an ARB bullbar. Otherwise, Independent4x makes a more minimalistic design https://www.independent4x.com/merchantmanager/product_info.php?cPath=133&products_id=3
I know it says 92-97 but it should work for a 98. For the most factory look you could build a front receiver hitch like this http://myweb.cableone.net/bcanderson/trooper/Hitch/Hitch.html and mount your hitch on the receiver when needed, using this http://www.amazon.com/WARN-75330-Multi-Mount-Winch-Carrier/dp/B001PJS0A2

I like that hidden hitch. Might have to break out the miller and make something up. Assuming the truck comes home to stay.

The hidden hitch is cheap and easy, but had he spent the money on an ARB bumper or another bumper with full front coverage his Trooper would still be on the road after hitting a deer.
