Wiffleball Batter
Those of you on CO4x4.org may have already seen this but I thought I'd post it here, too.
After talking about it for almost a year and searching for a few weeks, we finally ended up with this:
Our "new" 95 YJ, which my wife just named "Captain Morgan." :sombrero:
Great condition (nicest one we looked at by far!) Just under 200k miles, but runs like a champ. 4 cyl, 5 speed.
MANUAL steering (which really surprised me - I didn't even think it was an option on the YJ!) Still, I guess it's less to break or need maintenance.
Took Liz a little while to get used to both the manual tranny and the manual steering (last time she had a car with those things was about 30 years ago.) Still, by the end of the weekend she had the hang of it.
Liz was having great fun demolishing the remaining snow piles on our streets. Photos of that to follow.
It's a fun, if noisy, little beast. The small size feels wild to me, like there's almost nothing behind me. Driving it brings back memories of my military days and the M151 I drove for a few years with the Military Police.
Now we just want the warm weather to finally get here so we can take the doors and the top off and cruise around in our new "convertible."
