Jack's Knob: The Last Leg of Four Miles

A late March journey to remote Jack's Knob. The last four mile leg to the Knob. Picture #1 shows Jack's Knob on the far left looking tiny. Had to cross through three fences and gates in the last four miles to Knob area. The 10th picture is a picture taken in 1931 of Jack's Knob.

Looks like a good trip, I hope to get out in the desert this weekend. I never understand why people don't think the desert is beautiful.

Utah and it is BLM land. It's 20-25 miles NE of Hanksville sitting out by itself. If it was in Arizona or New Mexico this hoodoo would probably be one of the numerous ancient eroded volcanic spires found there but Jack's Knob is sandstone.
