Jeep block heater

Hello everyone! Long time reader, first time poster... I have a 2001 XJ that I'm outfitting as a weekend overlander/daily driver. I purchased it non-running and I'm in the process of rebuilding the 4.0. Since I live in northern Utah and it can get fairly cold here (not this year though!) I decided to put a block heater in it in a freeze plug hole. The question is, which block plug cavity is best for the heater? I want to put it in the farthest forward hole since that would keep the cord away from the exhaust and make it more accessible if it ever needs service, but I'm not sure how that will affect heating within the block. If anyone has a factory block heater in a 4.0, which hole is it in? Thanks!

Thanks T&A, that's what I needed to know. Sounds like the front hole is where she'll go.

I'm in Tremonton but I work up at Promontory for the NPS. Only been here a year so far, really like it though.

I installed mine several years ago. The front plug is definetly where to go.
