So first let me say I am excluding rtt and trailer. So what are the choices. J30, gazell, action camper and ???? Anyone thing of anything else? Trying to find something I can sleep in and still use my jeep as a daily driver

Goose gear has the floor delete so you could sleep in the rear of the Jeep. Outside that I think you hit them all.

LOL, Sleep in A Jeep.... 45 years ago I might have been short enough.

My "upstairs" bed in the J30 is 7 ft. long and 4 ft. wide.

My "downstairs" bed on my storage cabinets is a hair over 6 ft. long and more than 4ft. wide.

I'm 6'2", and I can sleep downstairs on an angle. Upstairs is luxurious.

We just finished up the only install of a Gazelle kit that has ever taken place in the US. Things are in the process for establishing US Distributorship for these kits as well. Having done the install, with a few minor issues here and there which are to be expected, the kit is impressive. Will do a build thread shortly, or, if your attending Expo West, we will have it in our booth at the event. We build a LOT of Jeeps in every form and fashion, and by far, this is my favorite build we've ever done. I think the combination of the tent up-top and the extension for extra capacity is a winner.

If you've got any questions, feel free to PM me.

Finally a mention of this kit in North America. I didn't think it was ever going to be offered on this side of the Atlantic. I've been thoroughly impressed with the setups Gazell has posted on their site, albeit impossible to read since my french is so poor.
Dan who modded out a J30 and is touring around Africa may have benefited from the extra floor space with this setup, but maybe the reduction in departure angle factored into things.
Keep us posted.

Price and availability factored into things a lot more!

I want to make sure I actually go on these adventures, so spending years building rigs, or waiting for "almost available" stuff is completely out of the question for me.

If you want to wait 2 or so years for the new Wrangler JT, the Jeep pick-up, you can add fourwheel camper and probably other slide in camper manufacturers to your list.

I'm hoping you're right!! I'd be very interested in this combo.
