Jeep Hauler Suggestions Please

This doesn't lend to expedition travelling, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to haul a Jeep behind a Class C motorhome? I was going to flat-tow it with a Sterling combo...but now I am leaning towards a flat deck hauler.

Any suggestios would be appreciated.

The right solution could also be used to tow snowmachines or ATV's also. It might even be large enough to haul a Jeep and an AT or the like. I have ~9000lbs of towing capacity to play with.

I'd flat tow it. BUT.... how heavy is the tow vehicle? You need to consider the dead weight of the Jeep stopping with no brakes. A trailer would have them , but then you just added the weight of the trailer to the load being pulled.

A Break Buddy will help if you flat tow it. They are pricey but I bet that there are comparable makers.

My tow vehicle is ~11000-12000 lbs, with a GCWR of ~20500 lbs.

An 18' trailer would be ideal for loading just the vehicle, but if you want to haul a AT type trailer with it also, you will have to go larger. I tried to load my Jeep Cherokee and M416 trailer on an 18" and it wasn’t worth the trouble. I would have to load the trailer sideways and it is not easy to move it once it was fully loaded. I could of winched it around, but still difficult.

I flat towed a glass dune buggy for years. (See Avi.) First with a '66 Econoline and then later with a '67 Ranchero. Never had tow brakes on the buggy. It's not for the faint of heart and I always had to carry enough spare parts to make it roll well enough to tow it home.

If the budget and tow rig can stand it, I advise a trailer with brakes.
