JEEP jku tent idea

i have an idea that been in my mind.

a simple tent with fast setup instead of a roof tent.

idea is , open the tail gate ,then pull an acordeon type tent, sliding the base of the tent out from the jeep , like 4 feet, and unfold a set of legs, and thats it. tent fabric hold by velcro all aroound the tail gate opening.
a nice matress. more like a cot but just one set of legs in the back.

what you think ?

Before buying my RTT I had sketched up an idea similar to this.

The idea would be to have a drawer slide-out, and then a tent cover fold up snug to the back of the jeep like a baby's carriage.

I abandoned the idea for 2 reasons:

1) I wanted an RTT, and was being cheap -- and since I've learned the hard way that if I REALLY want something, anything else will disappoint me in someway, I gave it a skip.
2) I am in a 2 door, and setting it up to sleep in the back invalidates a lot of cargo space.

But, the idea would work in terms of measurements. The commercial option mentioned above looks like a good option!

We can do a very fast camp set up with our JKU set-up.
1. Pitch 2 man pup tent.
2. Unload gear held in action packers from rear of JKU into tent, move cooler and food box to front seat.
3. Unroll Air mattress and sleeping bags in back of JKU.
4. Use Engine Auto Start Key-Fob for climate control.

I built something similar a while back:

Used it with one of those SUV tents that straps around the rear of the Jeep. Very comfortable. Too small for two though.

Since moved on to this ($300 for the trailer. www.govliquidation.com):

What's on top in the back of the jeep when loaded for travel. The tent or your stuff?

I'd rather set up a tent than unload everything before setting up the jeep tent.
