Jeep TJ roof rack suggestions

I have been running my roof rack now in one form or another for over a year and I think I am finally ready to get it powder coated.
I don't want to regret adding something to it down the road so I thought I would post up and ask for suggestions as to what to add, or prepare for in the future.

Here's what it looked like when I first had it made. It's attached to the Tomb Raider edition light bar.

I foresee a M416 or M101CDN in my future. :)
I just need to find one AND have the money at the same time!

I eventually cut off the top rails since I want to fit it in my garage after future upgrades. With the top rails it was barely fitting through the garage door, and since I wasn't really using them any way, off they went.
As it sits now:

As of late I have been ratchet strapping things directly to the expanded metal, I think that long term I will use something like anchortrax. I also plan to add a few of the blitzpro lights mentioned in another thread (one each side, one in back.)

My thoughts are to drill some holes through the rail that runs front to back, perpendicular to the ground as well as parallel to the ground for future things bolted to it (like a shovel or high lift jack handle.) For extra fuel, I will most likely use a 4 gallon RotoPax laid flat in the front most section.

What am I not thinking of?

I would skip the powder coating and just rattle-can it with Krylon, then if you decide to upgrade the rack you can simply touch up the impacted areas. I realize this doesn't answer your initial question, however it may help your decision process.

That's even better.
Many thanks!

A removable basket might be a good idea.... Also, check out FOURTREKS. They make clamps and mounts for just about any and everything you can imagine. A bit pricey but you get more than what you're paying for IMHO.

Nice rack!
I bet it's a lot quieter than my Kargo Master.

I don't know where you live, but limb risers are very handy around here with all of the thick underbrush that quickly takes over the back country roads. You may want to consider adding some hooks for them before powder coating, just in case you decide you want some in the future. I just cleaned the coating off of a couple of J-Hooks and welded them to mine.
