Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Overland parts list

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Overland is one of Jeep's most popular project vehicles. Because the Overland primarily uses aftermarket parts rather than truly custom pieces, it's possible for any Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited owner to construct a similar vehicle. The price of the upgraded parts, including installation, is about $20,000.

The Overland parts list with prices is below. Please make corrections and additions. Notes about where to purchase the pieces and prices are welcome, too.

Background: In 2009, the Mopar Underground design team modified a stock Wrangler Rubicon for overland travel. The Overland project was unveiled at the Easter Jeep Week gathering in Moab.

Later that year, Jeep passed the Overland project vehicle to Expeditions West for testing and additional upgrades. Expeditions West staff praised the Jeep Overland as an excellent vehicle for adventure travel, with lots of storage space and very good off-road capability.

The Jeep Wrangler Overland has appeared in several magazine articles, including

The vehicle was highlighted in an episode of the Dangerous Drives TV show on the Speed Channel. See the 45 minute show here

Discussion of the vehicle continues in this thread http://expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31401

I would think a re-gear might be in order.

4:11 on 35's is right on the border of acceptability. I think 4:56 (or 4:88 if stick) might put the power band back to that sweet spot.

I realize this is more for expedition use but no armor for the oil pan??

i don't know about the US, but here the gastank comes with a pretty heavy skid.
and for my experience on the diesel the 4.11 gearing is fine on the stick shift. i can imagine that it's a different story on the gas A/T one...

Thats the "rub"

Lack of a diesel...that is the "Rub". How one can reasonably create a gas powered expedition rig and expect to travel the globe with out issues is a bit of a stretch to me. XXX, why don't you send him one and he can really build an Expo rig for stateside use...? Heehee.
I would try getting on the International Full Size Jeep (IFSJA) site and pm a guy that goes by the screen name cu4whln. Not trying to put him on blast but if you have been to a very recent Moab EJS and have seen a big, bannana yellow FSJ Cherokee...well, thats him. He may...ahem...be able to point you to info you are looking for..? Maybe or maybe not but I'd try and ask him.

Just as a note the wheel are from a grand charokee but they are
winter wheels offered for people who swap to winter tires.

Also the head lights in the pictures are not the ones on it now.
It now sports LED head lights like these http://www.ledheadlamps.com/Home.html

Are those wheels to narrow for those tires? 7.5 inch wide wheels with 12.5 inch wide tires. I won the Falken ATs at the Jeep Jamboree, also 12.5 wide, but Falken recommends 8.5 or wider wheels. I like the wheels but am worried I will not be able to find someone to mount them and the affect it would have on daily driving handling and on trail when aired down. Thoughts?
