Jeep Wrangler Unlimited in Oz

Hi,
The new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited diesel is a very impressive vehicle "from the box" and perhaps the best value for money in 4WD in Australia.
It is about A$ 18000 cheaper than the Defender here in Australia without counting how much will cost of fitting diff locks in the Defender to equal the specs of the Jeep.
Are you people getting the same value for money in USA or the Jeep is subsidize here in Oz ?

What are you people suggesting to add to the standard package to bring it to an expedition vehicle ?

The link with the specs of the Jeep in Oz is: http://www.caradvice.com.au/1536/2007-jeep-wrangler-unlimited-pricing-specifications/

Looking forward to your comments specially regarding the suggested add ons for the expedition package

Cheers from Australia

It does suck however that it is the 2.8 Italian rattle box rather than the 3.0 MB CRD motor.

Still at least there are a few after market goodies for it.

For Australia, an ARB roo bar and lights, rear carrier for the tire, hi lift and jerry cans. Do you plan to tow with it ?

The US sucks no diesel Wrangler, however it sounds like next year there will be a new gas motor (again)
