Logistics, execution, and OPJ

This was the most-well-run big offroad event I've ever participated in. My hat is off to the folks behind the Jeepers Jamboree. They've been doing it since 1953.

Here's a shot of the vendor exposition on Saturday. Lots of cool stuff to look at and buy if you like. Notice the helicopter lifting off from the big rock in the background. We were camped just on the other side of the rock. Below it, on this side, is a full-on stage that hosted an amplified band Friday and Saturday nights.

And here's a picture of the helicopter lifting off as seen from our campsite. Surprisingly much less annoying than expected.

I had a great time. Many thanks to rmarz for the invitation to join him and the opportunity to drive a most-well-equipped OPJ on a very challenging trail. Luckily, I didn't break anything. Perhaps this comes from only driving Other People's Jeeps. That's the only kind I know.

One of the bumper stickers I saw on this trip read "Drive it like it's sponsored."

Happy trails to you...
