Hello all,
The wife gifted me a Jet Boil last year for Christmas. It is the first stove I've owned that does not use liquid fuel; my usual go-to is an old Svea 123. I wanted the Jet Boil to keep in the Jeep for emergencies and coffee makin' after a long day tromping through the snow and cold water. It was my impression that the main benefit of the Jet Boil system, besides the compact size, was it's ability to boil water rapidly. My unit takes about 10mins for 2 cups to come to boil. In my experiences with liquid fuel stoves that seems a little slow. Is 10mins about the norm for 2 cups at sea level with no wind using compressed iso-butane? If not, has anyone else experienced long boil times? Any tips that I may not know about yet since it's still fairly new? Thanks in advance...
